Whitney + Andrew: Appler Wedding - Dec. 29, 2018
You guys, I really love this couple. Whitney called me in late October/early November saying that she had recently gotten engaged, and although they had originally thought about getting married in the spring, said that they decided to move the date up to the end of December! That would be considered a rush even for a couple planning the most minimalistic of weddings, but after meeting them for some #engagement photos, I totally understood. Their love for each other was so apparent, and you could tell they were just ready to get started on spending the rest of their lives together.
Also, who doesn't LOVE a #winterwedding?! The couple decided to use #RHFarms in #LittleRock as their venue, and it was truly incredible. The whole site was gorgeous, and the staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Since the weather in December in #Arkansas can be unpredictable at best, we decided to do a #firstlook about a week before the wedding at the venue since the weather was so nice, which served as some wedding day "insurance," if you will.
The wedding day itself was cloudy, but there was NO rain - hallelujah! The details were gorgeous, too! Bride wore a spaghetti-straped, open back fit & flare gown from #TheBridalCottage. Bride, sister Courtney (matron of honor), and mother-of-the-bride Jane all had gorgeous fur boleros to top off their stunning dresses. Flowers were arranged by the bride and mother themselves, and the arbor made by the groom (uh, amazing)! Cakes were made by #LavenderBakes, and they were perfect! Side note: I encourage you to follow her on Instagram @lavenderbakes, if you don't already, to see all her amazing work. Also, shout out to the amazing #BadgleyMischka flats the bride wore.
The ceremony was short & sweet, and you could tell that everyone present was so excited for this couple to be making it official (including/especially their son Lachlan).
And then, of course, everyone got straight to eating, celebrating, and dancing.
Whitney and Andrew rounded out the night with a spectacular #sparkler exit.
I am so honored that I got to photograph not only this couple, but their entire families, as well. Literally everyone was so kind to my husband (my adorable assistant) and me.
Whitney & Andrew - I wish you both the absolute best, and I hope someday our paths cross again. Enjoy the honeymoon!!
