The Goodmans - Documentary Work

Updated: Jun 24, 2020

I've worked with Christopher and Abbey a few times in the past year, and I've been meaning to share some of my images from my time with them for quite some time now. To say their lives have been busy is a major understatement. They're in the middle of building a home (which Christopher is doing!) - and that means they're living with Abbey's sweet parents at the moment. And, when I first met them, they had two girls under two. That makes this momma of one who also just moved tired just thinking about it.

The first time I came over to their [parents'] home, I did a #shortandsweet documentary session, just capturing their normal lives at the moment. It was raining, but that didn't slow any of them down!

Adeline, their oldest, is full of personality. She splashed and jumped and then splashed and jumped some more. Ava, their sweet, snuggly baby, made me realize just what a mess my own child (only 10 days older!) is - hahaha!

I saw them a few weeks later for Adeline's 2nd party. They went ALL OUT with the painting theme, and it was a child's - ok, maybe my own adult self's - dream. There were paint and sprinkles everywhere, and it was (a sweaty) heaven.

And then the most recent time that I went to Tulsa, it was to celebrate Ms. Kayla's (Abbey's mom) retirement! Lots of the family and friends had gotten together to honor her, and it was a very sweet evening. The goodbyes at the end of the night were very emotional, though. You can tell that this family truly loves each other.

This family is so loving and kind, and I can't wait until I get to work with them again. Thank you for allowing me into your lives Christopher & Abbey (and family)!

Much love,

Bailey
